I love to cook roasted salmon recipes because this fish is so versatile. You can make so many different roasted salmon or grilled salmon recipes, and this baked salmon with herbed yogurt sauce is one of my favorites.
Being from New Orleans, I love sauces on fish and meat. It just feels decadent.
Yogurt was never a biggie with me, but Greek yogurt makes such a creamy sauce for this dish. The Greek yogurt mixed with dijon mustard and herbs just brings it home.
I tend to like easy meals to make that will also impress people. I know that is cheating a little bit, but oh well!

The best part about salmon dishes is that when you’re finished cooking, the meal looks like you had to have drudged away in the kitchen to get the meal to appear so exquisite.
However, baked salmon with yogurt sauce is not only easy to make, but it doesn’t take much time. In just 16 minutes, you’ll have an amazing meal.

And of course, Greek yogurt is healthy and full of protein, too, and you only add about 3/4 of a cup of yogurt to this recipe.

What Can I Serve With Salmon?
There is nothing like baked salmon with potatoes and vegetables. For some reason, I have to have potatoes when I cook fish. It’s one of those weird, unexplainable things.
There are a lot of baked salmon fillet recipes, but I think this one calls for potatoes.
- I’m sure that rice is good, too, with the salmon.
- Oh, and risotto would be delicious served with salmon, accenting the sauce.
- Mashed potatoes with garlic and butter would be good to pair with the salmon.
- Scalloped potatoes are fun as well.
- Asparagus or broccoli would be perfect with salmon, too.
- Oh, and you can garnish it with lemon.
Can I Use Frozen Salmon For This Recipe?
You sure can!
I don’t always have time to go to the seafood market like I did today. The good news is that frozen salmon is just as delicious as fresh salmon.
However, I’m just one of those weirdos that like to look around fish markets, and I have no idea why. It probably makes sense to another weirdo, but certainly not to a normal person.
At any rate, frozen salmon is certainly OK to use for this recipe. And it’s suitable for grilled salmon recipes, too.
